This June, I will be participating in the Ride for Heart, with a goal of raising $5000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and life-saving research. To support my goal, I have developed a new line of jewellery, aptly named "Hearts for Heart." 50% of all proceeds from this new line (and from the sale of all of my other jewellery for the time being) will be donated to my fundraising efforts! I started out by making a
ton of heart-shaped polymer clay beads in a variety of different styles:
I really had way too much fun making these, and really enjoyed using my new bead rack. I think I went a little overboard, as the prospect of making things with
all of these beads soon is a tad overwhelming! However, I know I can do it! I got started with a couple of necklaces and some earrings, pairing the handmade polymer clay beads with Swarovski crystals and other findings.
I also made some pretty bookmarks and more earrings using the polymer clay beads, Swarovski crystals and some other heart-shaped beads that I had in my supply stock.
